And we're under way! This week represents the first full week of trading, and what a great week it's been!
The preceding weeks have been so busy, with many jobs needing to get finalised, including staff training on vinyl application, sourcing the best material and finding the best value postage options for our customers.
As well as sorting all of those we've finalised our website, including this new blog page, a gallery full of brilliant wrap examples that have been done for US customers and we’ve even added a pay online option thanks to PayPal.
We've taken receipt of some brilliant branded work clothing, thanks to Ronnie at Custom T-Shirts, and can't wait to 'get on the road' to show them off at league meetings, coaching events and games to help spread the word of GDS and how we can help you and your club.
We're really delighted with our suppliers, through whom we now have access to in the region of 150 different colours, finishes and styles, as well as bespoke printing. It's not always been perfect, we've tested numerous brands; whilst some proved too thin and prone to splitting, we've found the brands and finishes which will give our customers the perfect balance between cost, durability and a great finish.
We're also pleased to have sourced new workspace, what with the GDS Mansion proving too small to house our ever growing stockpile of vinyl rolls, disassembled helmets and football paraphernalia we needed to move, so soon will be updating our website with new “contact us” details!
All in all we’re ready in perfect time for the start of the new NFL regular season on Sunday, which I hope everyone is as excited about as I am. It's been brilliant to see how much the game has grown in popularity in the UK. GDS is proud to say we're starting a new school based football initiative next week in the Ipswich area, and it will be great to see if that excitement will translate to a new generation of football fans and hopefully new football players! We will keep you posted, on here and on social media!
Thanks for reading our first Blog post, I'm off to get two more sample helmets finished and in the post, before I can sit down and welcome in the new season. Make sure you keep your eyes open for more news here on the blog, and on our Facebook and Twitter channels.
