SENDING US YOUR HELMET
Please be aware that our offices are shut between 14 August and 2 September. If you send us your helmet during this time there will be no one available to take delivery. Please contact us using the contact details or form below if you need your helmet for a certain date or if you would like more information about the wrapping process.
The questions we get most often are; ‘how do I send you my helmet?’ And ‘how do I go about paying you?’ Here’s everything you need to know about getting your helmet to us, and back.
Prepping your helmet
Remove all pads, screws and any other attachments
Make sure that old decals are removed if no longer needed, especially if they're the large, thick type as these can cause the vinyl to pucker and gather at the edges
If there are any big scratches in the plastic, try and smooth them down with a scouring pad or similar to make the surface as smooth as possible
Give the lid a quick wipe just to remove any big bits of dirt or sand
NB/ If your helmet has been painted, the vinyl may not stick as well as it would to the plastic lid. This could cause small air bubbles to form. If you’re able to remove the paint, that would be ideal, otherwise be prepared for some lifting - especially where there are grooves/lips.
In addition, when you come to remove the wrap at the end of the season, it may peel the paint off with it, if not already removed.
Getting your helmet to us
Package in a suitable box and include your name and return address either on a slip inside the box or on the outside of the box itself and send it to:
Game Day Skinz,
Claydon Business Park,
We ask that payment be made before we return your helmet to you - delay in sending payment will delay your helmet being returned. BACS is our preferred payment method - please contact us for details.
Alternatively we can take payment over the phone, or via PayPal. If you would prefer either of these methods, please contact us for details.
How long will it take us to wrap your helmet?
If we have the material in stock we aim to get your helmet wrapped and returned within 48 hours (if we have to order material in it will be 48 hours from receiving material) but please do get in touch if you need your helmet back by a certain date as we will have to check our workshop schedule to see if we can fit you in
With each wrap we also include a set of "plasters" which are small stickers which we advise you use to cover any small marks you pick up over time, as this will ensure that the wrap keeps its integrity for as long as possible.
Please ensure that you include in your package a note which includes the following:
Your contact details (telephone number and email)
The colour and finish of the wrap you want
The address you would like us to return your helmet to and your preferred postage option
Even if you have contacted us on Facebook or by email, failure to include these details could result in, at best, a delay getting your helmet back to you, or at worst, you not receiving your helmet back as we won't be able to identify whose it is or where to return it to!
